RESTRICTIONS:-
We
don't let Jollies to groups of teenagers (i.e.
under 21's) or any
teenagers holidaying without parents, under any circumstances. The maximum
occupancy is 4 persons for couples and families and 2 persons for singles.
We will not permit 5 (or more) persons under any circumstances.
I reserve the right to refuse to let the property to any individual,
group or family that I choose and I need not offer any explanation or
reason.(Unlikely to happen but I wanted you to know I have rights too!!).
Smokers are welcome to smoke on the terrace but not inside the apartment
(Sorry - I'm a smoker too but it's in the interests of ALL our guests
- hardly a hardship given that the terrace is such a lovely place to
sit!) WHO
IS THE APARTMENT SUITABLE FOR?:- All
nationalities, ages, couples, same sex groups and families. However,
we don't have a cot for babies. Please be aware of the sleeping arrangments
- we have one King size and two singles. I'm afraid we don't let Jollies
to groups of teenagers(i.e.
under 21's) holidaying
without family .
Our house manager is English and is multilingual (Spanish, German, Dutch
etc). We accept payment in sterling and in Euro's. DISABLED:-
Jollies is also suitable for the
less agile and disabled. From the pavement to the front door is one
level. There is a small doorstep. Doorwidths are standard size. We have
a large walk in shower (wetroom). This is the only room where a wheelchair
will not go through the door. The pool has one set of easy access steps,
i.e. gentle steps sloping into the pool at the shallow end, with two
hand rails. From the terrace to the pool area there are two steps -
wheelchair width, just!. Alternatively, it takes less than a minute
to go via the front door, around the corner of the apartment and out
to the pool. We have a self propelling/attendant folding wheelchair
available to rent on a weekly basis (must be booked before the date
of travel) at a cost of £35 per week.
It folds to go in cars and cabs. QUESTIONS:-
If you can't find the answer you're
looking for in this section please check out our FAQ's
page. PROPERTY
MANAGER:- Karen
is English (multilingual) and will be your contact whilst on holiday
for any emergencies. She offers airport pick-ups at 35 euro's each way.
You must read the section "Airport Pick-ups" on our Terms
& Conditions page before booking. POPULARITY:-
Being a complex of just 8 apartments,
situated in such a sought after location and offered at a very fair
rental has resulted in the apartment being very popular - for this reason
Jollies often gets booked well in advance. We are taking bookings with
a £100 deposit payment right up until the end of 2009. FLIGHTS
ARE NOT INCLUDED:- Our
prices are for property rental only. SEARCHING
FOR FLIGHTS?:- The
airport on Gran Canaria is Las Palmas airport (LPA) and is about a 20/25
minute drive down the motorway. Gran Canaria is about a 4 hour flight
from the UK. Flights are not included in the property rental. Flights
to Las Palmas leave the UK most days but Monday's provide the most choice,
followed by Saturdays. You'll find some of the best flight prices on
the websites listed below. Remember it's often worth checking the price
of singles instead of returns. They can frequently be cheaper - for
exactly the same flights! LATE
RETURN FLIGHT?:- To enable us to ensure
the apartment is ready for our next guests the apartment must be vacated
no later than 11am on departure day. Whenever guests have late return
flights we do try to be flexible but can rarely promise that we will
be able to accommodate them beyond 11am (occasionally possible if we
know our next guests flight arrival time is very late). For 50 euro's
(payable locally) we can usually arrange, via Karen, our House Manager
in the resort, for you to have the use of a neighbouring apartment up
to your departure time on your final day. Even if you don't want that
facility you may like to know that when, on departure day you have to
vacate the property in the morning, there is no problem in you using
the pool and gardens until your flight time - just let me know this
is what you want to do. TRANSPORT:-
This is a busy holiday resort with
many parking restrictions. Car hire truly is not necessary - the apartment
is within easy reach of everything in the resort. If you want to tour
the island why not hire a car just for the day - a much better option.
You'll find plenty of hire company's locally. There is a very good bus
service with major stops just 200 yards from the apartment. You can
get buses up to the capital, Las Palmas, in the North of the island
and to all the out of resort attractions. Cabs are so cheap it's hardly
worth considering any other form of transport and the taxi rank is next
to the bus terminal - so again, just 200 yards from the apartment. WHAT WE'VE GOT & WHAT WE HAVEN'T:- You'll have everything you need. The kitchen is equipped with a microwave, blender, toaster, kettle, fridge freezer, full oven & 4 ring ceramic hob. The utility room houses the washing machine (we don't provide the powder), iron, the ironing board, drying stand, washing line & pegs. We have a safe. We provide toilet rolls, toilet cleaner, bedlinen, bath, hand and tea towels & a dishcloth. We have a TV but not Satellite. We have a large selection of English paperbacks and operate a swap system, i.e. take one of ours and leave one of yours. We have a few board games, puzzles and toys. Our self propelling wheelchair can be hired for £35 per week. We have plenty of coat hangers - all will hold trousers. We don't have a DVD player. We do have spare light bulbs. We don't provide beach towels. We do provide sunbed matresses. The complex has plenty of sunbeds. Our terrace has a table & four chairs. We have a notice board and lots of leaflets for the attractions. We no longer have the baby paddling pool shown in some of the photo's on this website, it has been filled in and is now an extra sunbathing area. Something we haven't covered here that you want to know? Check out our FAQ's Non essential & non contractual
extra's:- We have numerous non essential items available for
our clients use. However, it is important to understand that these items
do not form part of our contract with you and will not necessarily be
replaced when broken or lost. Such items include: hairdryer, CD Player
& CD's, sandwich toaster, fragranced candles, tea lights, salt,
pepper & vinegar, cooking oil, wardrobe hanging shelves, laundry
bag, free postcards, small notepads & pen, umbrella & vases.
In the lounge we also have an insect repellant plug-in. This works through
the electrical system and covers 60 sqm. Walls are not a barrier to
this system. Providing it is not unplugged at any time you should enjoy
an insect free stay (if unplugged it takes up to 4 weeks to work again
when plugged back in). INSURANCE:-
It is a condition of booking
that you have travel insurance to cover at least cancellation, personal
injury, theft & personal loss. TERMS
& CONDITIONS:- Our
terms and conditions form part of our booking form. You will be asked
for your agreement to those terms on the booking form. Visit our Terms
page for full details. FREQUENTLY
